MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

SUBJECT: Affiliation MOU – 2006

Jackson County Parks and Recreation is associated with several organizations
sharing similar goals and visions. An Affiliation program has been created to
structure the Department’s relationship with these organizations. Through our
affiliations, not only do we receive support in serving the leisure needs of the
residents of Jackson County, but we also stay in the forefront of technological
advances in specialized areas of recreation.

This Memorandum of Understanding establishes that Jacomo Cruiser Fleet,
who will be identified and referred to as the Affiliate, has entered into an
agreement with Jackson County Parks and Recreation for the mutual support
and cooperation for the Jackson County Parks and Recreation Department and
the sport of ___________________________.

This affiliation is based on the following guidelines, which have been agreed
upon by Jackson County Parks and Recreation and the Affiliate, beginning
January 1, 2006 and ending December 31 of the same calendar year.

The Affiliate agrees to provide the following to Jackson County Parks and
Recreation:

2. To submit a completed “Special Use Request” for all public special
events to be held on Park Property during the term of this agreement by
________________ of each year.
3. The Affiliate will state that they are affiliated with JCP&R Department
in their printed affiliate newsletters, websites and at special events.
4. The Affiliate will provide JCP&R with a mailing list of Club members
by ________________.

5. The Affiliate will commit to performing two (2) club sponsored lake clean ups on Lake
Jacomo on ________________ <insert date> and ______________ <insert date>.
6. The Affiliate will participate with the Parks and Recreation Department in sponsoring
Lake Fest 2006 on June 24, 2006.
7. The Affiliate will submit an Operating Budget and Revenue Summary for all approved
Special Events within 30 days following the event.
8. The Affiliate will be responsible for all financial transactions relating to the events (this
includes all fees, permits and participant registration and $1-million per occurrence
insurance coverage which indemnifies Jackson County).
9. All events must adhere to governing laws and Jackson County Parks rules and regulations
and practice professional quality program standards to insure the safety of Park Patrons
and retain the integrity of the Park System.

2. Consider all Affiliate requested special event dates and confirm within two weeks.
3. Promote the Affiliate Organization as a JCP&R Affiliate.
4. Promote the Affiliate Events through various JCP&R Marketing venues.
5. Consider all Affiliate Capital Improvement Requests in JCP&R’s 5-year plan.
6. A quarterly meeting with JCP&R point of contact.
7. Use of the storage site at Sailboat Cove to be used for storing items needed to maintain
the area.
8. Use of the shelter house once a month for club meeting.
JCP&R and the Affiliate agree that this Memorandum of Understanding serves as a guideline for
the term of the agreement. Further addendums to this Memorandum of Understanding may be
necessary when defining additional and/or more specific responsibilities pertaining to this
cooperative effort. This agreement becomes effective when executed by both parties and may be
terminated by either party when reviewed on a five year basis. This agreement may be
terminated at any time, if mutually agreed to by both parties.
