The Jacomo Cruiser Fleet was founded in 1978 by cruising sailors who tired of racing on a weekly basis during the summer season but wanted to keep the Fleet intact. Now, close to 30 years later, we continue the tradition, sharing our love of sailing with others. Membership does not require the ownership of a sailboat. We meet on the third Saturday of each month of the sailing season (April 1 through November 30), have a brief meeting, then enjoy a theme-oriented party. We also have an annual Meeting/Christmas party. Our organization is funded by yearly dues which are currently $50, a bargain in today's economy. A membership roster and monthly newsletter is provided to all members. The Cruiser Fleet is recognized by the Jackson County Parks and Recreation Department. We have adopted sailboat cove and our membership volunteers to help the County maintain the area.
